NOTICE ON CHRISTMAS TREE PICK-UP

Christmas tree pick-up for the Borough of Waynesboro will take place during the week of January 2-6, and January 16-20, 2012, on residents’ normal trash collection day (during brush collection weeks).  Christmas trees WILL NOT be collected the weeks of January 9-13 or January 23-27, which are recycling weeks. All decorations and tree stands should be removed, and Christmas trees should be placed at the curb no later than 6:00 a.m. on the day of residents’ normal trash pick-up.

Homeowners wishing to have their trees picked up by the trash collector should place them at the curb in accordance with the above instructions. Trees should not be placed at curbside prior to your day of pick-up during the above noted weeks.

The Borough wishes to thank customers for their cooperation in this effort. Disposal of the Christmas trees in this way will be a benefit to the environment, as the Collector will be recycling the trees into usable by-products.
