                                                                SPECIAL MEETING

The special meeting was called to order at 5:15 p.m. by Council President Craig Newcomer with the following in attendance:

Borough Council – C. Harold Mumma, Charles McCammon, Benjamin Greenawalt and Craig Newcomer

          Mayor Richard Starliper

          Borough Staff: Lloyd R. Hamberger, II, Borough Manager

                     Mark King, Chief of Police

                     Kevin Grubbs, Head of Engineering Services

President Newcomer noted the purpose of the meeting was to adopt resolutions regarding Commonwealth reimbursement for the three (3) candidates going to the Police Academy.

Councilman Mumma motioned to adopt Resolutions 2008-14, 2008-15 and 2008-16 (copies of which are on file at Borough Hall). Mr. Greenawalt seconded; and the motion passed 3-1, with Mr. McCammon voting no.

Mr. McCammon presented Council with a news article that outlined police funding in Martinsburg, WV. Mr. Hamberger will copy the article and include additional information in the next Council packets.

Council adjourned at approximately 5:21 p.m.
