SPECIAL MEETING

Council President Charles McCammon called the special meeting of the Waynesboro Borough Council to order at 6:30 p.m. with the following in attendance:

Borough Council Members - Richard George, Charles McCammon, Andrew Benchoff, Harold Mumma and Ardie Winters (arrived during meeting); John Cook was absent

Mayor Louis M. Barlup, Jr.

Borough Staff - Lloyd R. Hamberger, II, Borough Manager

Ron Flegel - Fire Chief

INTERVIEWS - FIRE APPARATUS DRIVER: The following individuals were interviewed for the position of Fire Apparatus Driver: Bryan Stevenson, Kevin Keeney, Bryan Martin and George Rowe IV.

Following the interviews, Council discussed the interviewees. Councilman George made a motion to appoint Kevin Keeney to the vacant Fire Apparatus Driver's position. Councilman Winters seconded; the motion passed 5-0. It was noted that the appointment is subject to the standard conditions of appointment of a new Fire Apparatus Driver including a physical examination, one year probationary period, probationary salary, background check, and any other standard conditions.

RESIGNATIONS FROM ZONING HEARING BOARD: On a motion made by Councilman Benchoff, the verbal resignations of Donna Taylor and Harold Mumma were accepted by Council. Councilman Winters seconded; the motion passed 5-0.

Councilman George made a motion to appoint Doug Tengler to fill the term of Donna Taylor and Harold Mouer to fill the term of Harold Mumma. Councilman Benchoff seconded; the motion passed 5-0.

Having no further business to discuss, the meeting adjourned at 8:12 p.m.
