A Land Use Permit issued by the Borough of Waynesboro will be required to obtain a building permit

Permits and/or inspections are required for the following:

Permits are required within the Borough of Waynesboro.

    In order to obtain a Land Use Permit, the following requirements must be followed:

1. Submit two (2) sets of Construction Drawings detailing Foundations, Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Sprinkler (Sprinkler only when necessary).  Drawings must be approved and stamped by either a Professional Engineer or Architect and/or   Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry approval, if necessary.
2. Submit two (2) sets of Site Plans showing New and Existing Structures, Building Restriction Lines, Utilities, Easements, Adjoining Property Owners, Streets, and Grades.  Plans to be approved and stamped by a Professional Land Surveyor.
3. A copy of the Recorded Deed to the property, along with any other pertinent information.

    Construction Drawings must be submitted a minimum of one week, for plan review, prior to obtaining a Zoning Permit

          Land Use Permits are required for the following:

1. Constructing or Altering a Structure
2. Constructing an Addition
3. Demolishing or Moving a Structure
4. Decks, Sheds and Garages

    Applications may be made by the owner, an agent of the owner, or a Registered Design Professional employed in connection with the proposed work, along with an executed notarized power of attorney and all deeds necessary.

    The requirements for the filing of construction drawings may be waived in the sole discretion of the Code Enforcement Officer when the scope of the work is of minor nature, however, a sketch of the property (with dimensions) showing the addition or improvements will be required, along with a copy of the recorded deed.
